    Description

Paul Revere Pewter Pitcher - Solid Pewter made by Dowd & Rodgers Co. of Wallingford, CT.  This is a very nice pewter pitcher in great shape except for a couple of tiny dents on the side.  This company changed ownership in 1915, when, then, Biggins & Rodgers, the name was changed to Dowd & Rodgers Co.  The design is very unique in the manufacture of this piece, as it has a definite seam around the middle, indicating that it is of the early 1900's in age (1915-1916), according to several antique dealers I checked with.  Refer to the photos for the maker's mark and edition number 496.  Dimensions are 7 1/2 inches tall, 5 inches diameter in the middle, and 4 inch opening at the top.
